Just wondering...
Hi, all!

I've been lurking here for a few days, but I thought it was about time to speak up :) How many of you out there are writing a YA novel? I'm working on one right now...the writing isn't nearly as scary as trying to go through the publishing process, which feels like someone ripping out my organs with a small knife (lovely, right?).

But I love, love, love, YA books and writing YA stories. Apparently, I'm not the only one ;)

The publishing process is very scary indeed, but it also tells you a lot about your writing. I'm going to post an archive about this later, so you should check it out! But there's this site I use where people post the e-mails they receive from agents. That way you can tell if you've received a form rejection or not. I learned very quickly that it wasn't my writing that was getting me rejected but my pacing of my story and other tidbits like too many extra unnecessaries. I even had agents love my idea, but they rejected because I haven't crafted my writing well enough.

But anyways, I read and write young adult, mainly fantasy, but when I blog, I talk about young adult in general. I wish you luck with your journey!
